Day 1 | Chalon-sur-Saône, France. Welcome to Chalon-sur-Saône where a warm welcome awaits as you board your luxurious Scenic Space-Ship. Over the next few days, this wonderful luxury cruise ship will be your home. A world of wonder awaits you and you can look forward to fascinating new experiences in the days ahead. Day 2 | Mâcon. Lyon. FreeChoice — Travel from Mâcon to the ‘Golden Stone’ region of Beaujolais and taste the region’s delicious wines, or visit Cluny, built around the great Benedictine Abbey. Spend an afternoon at leisure in Mâcon before cruising to the lively city of Lyon. (B,L,D)
Day 3 | Lyon. Awake today in Lyon, the gastronomic heart of France! Day 4 | Vienne. Tournon. Enjoy a city tour this morning in Vienne, an old Roman city in a lovely setting. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon of cruising to picturesque Tournon. Sundowners — Enjoy a delightful afternoon cocktail on the terrace of the Castle of Tournon. Overlooking the Rhône, the Castle is a must-see for visitors to this beautiful region, both for its historic interest and its stunning outlook. Local guitarists will perform an acoustic set for your exclusive benefit. It’s the perfect soundtrack to an awe-inspiring backdrop. (B,L,D)
Day 5 | Viviers. Avignon. This morning take advantage of an included walking tour of Viviers. This delightful town, nestled between hill and river, boasts ancient homes and an unusual cathedral. Enjoy the panoramic vistas from the sun dDeck as you cruise into Avignon, then in the evening settle back and enjoy one of the region’s most entertaining French Chansons vocalists performing live for your enjoyment on board. Day 6 | Avignon. FreeChoice —Enjoy an in-depth tour of Avignon’s architectural jewel, the Pope’s Palace. Alternatively, take an excursion to Uzès and visit Pont du Gard, a magnificent ancient Roman aqueduct. Alternatively, ‘Shop with a Chef’ at a local food market and sample the delicious regional fare. This afternoon enjoy time at of leisure in Avignon. Enrich — Be treated to a truly unforgettable experience at the prestigious Pope’s Palace in Avignon. After the doors close to the general public, virtuoso musicians will showcase their skills by performing Mozart, Strauss, Vivaldi and Beethoven in the elegant Grand Tinel Room for your exclusive enjoyment. Day 7 | Tarascon. Relax on board as we cruise onto the Provençal town of Tarascon. FreeChoice —Visit Les Baux, and drop into a local olive farm, or visit Saint-Paul de Mausole Monastery in Saint-Rémy. Alternatively, view the Arles Arena in this thriving former Roman city. (B,L,D)
Day 8 | Tarascon. Departing Airport. All good things end eventually so after enjoying a great breakfast, disembark your Scenic Space-Ship and transfer to your departing airport (Please book flights to depart after 1pm). (B)
